INTRO: This beginner program is designed to introduce athletes to strength training, the importance of form, and build strong movement mechanics. This group will be broken up into two sub groups: “Middle School” and “Freshman”.

  • MIDDLE SCHOOL (fifth-seventh grade): Athletes will learn to move properly, are taught the basics of each major athletic movement (hip hinge, running, lunging, cutting, squatting, and more). These 60 minute sessions will build a foundation of movement for athletes that will help their performance improve and reduce injury while remaining interesting and fun.
    1. 10 minute warm-up period, 15 minutes of a lift instruction (1-2 new movements to learn), 20 minutes of general conditioning, 10 minutes of cool down/stretching. The remaining 5 minutes will be reserved for breaks during the session
  • FRESHMAN (eighth-ninth grade): Athletes learn to move properly, are taught the basics of each major athletic movement (hip hinge, running, lunging, cutting, squatting, and more).
